Adekunle Gold Unveils His Live Band! see more details

In a country where live music is gradually gaining great respect and yearn, former YBNL star, Adekunle Gold, may have just taken the lead in the music business as he recently unveiled his live band.

The WORK crooner, took to IG to share photos of himself with his band, 79th Element, penning a short piece on why he decided on a Live Band.


According to him:

I get asked a lot when why I have now decided to incorporate a band into my act. Simple…God gives you a vision, once you begin to act on it, he will send you helpers…these are the people who make my vision come alive, including my first sweetheart my sister. Dear friends, I give you the 79th element. 

An inquiry into the origin of the band name has something to do with “Gold” which is the 79th element on the periodic table. It is one of the least reactive elements, solid under standard conditions and extremely valuable as an ornamental gem. The music band is believed to be a perfect blend of all that gold represent – albeit, musically.

The band members include Micheal Bakare as producer and music director of the band, Oladele Afolabi on drums, Babatunde Alaba on percussion, Ojekunle Ayodeji on the keyboard, Owa Ayo on Base guitar, Femi Leye lead guitar, Kosoko Adekunbi and Aigbokhan Martins backing vocals.
