E! NEWS: Drake Explains Why He Did The Ojuelegba Remix With WizKid

Drake got the whole of the Nigerian music industry turnt when he dropped a verse on WizKid’s Ojuelegba along with UK artist, Skepta. If you haven’t heard it, listen here. Now in an interview with Fader 100, he explains why he decided to do drop a verse on the Star Boy’s hit track. Here’s his reasons:

“I just did it because I was in the moment. I wasn’t thinking like, ‘Oh man, I gotta get my brand up in Nigeria.’” Not to say that’s not important. I’m super-honored to be on that song.” 

Makes sense yea?

In the interview he also goes on to explain his beef with Meek Mill, and address accusations that he employs ghost writers for his songs. Earlier this week,


WizKid postponed the release of his album, earlier scheduled for this month, to 2016. He did however promise that he’ll be releasing an EP with 10 songs, and 10 videos.
